Stock and Flow

Income is what came in. Wealth is what is owned. Stock and Flow puts the economist's distinction between a flow and a stock into the plainest words we could find. Income is measured over a period, like a year's salary. Wealth is measured on a day, like the value of a house and a pension on the first of the month.
